Mozilla Campus Club CCEW, Pune
Entire October

Hacktoberfest ‘24 Overview
Date:Entire October
Mode: Online
Platform: Github
Hacktoberfest is a month-long event conducted globally to celebrate open source contributions every October. The purpose of organizing this event is to get as many people as possible involved in open source. Hacktoberfest gave open source newbies a hands-on experience and a chance to explore more about contributing to open source projects through GitHub.
The club made sure to provide every detail via mail and WhatsApp to the students. We started by briefing them about Hacktoberfest and then provided guidance about how to move forward, clearing their doubts step by step. The registrations started on 26th September. The students showed great interest in contributing to open source projects.
Mozilla Campus Club’s aim is to familiarize the majority of people with open source, which was partly achieved through this event!
